Pizza, cola, chips, takeaway meals, commercially made bread, ‘fruit’ yoghurt, readymade pasta sauce, genetically modified corn, canned food, Nutella, jams and commercially produced sweet and savoury treats: Guess what they have in common?

Cancer rates are going up. People in their forties are dying of heart attacks. One in five men in their twenties have ED. More than 10% of the adult population is diabetic. Obesity is everywhere, in every age group.

There is a global health crisis tsunami coming.

Are we all headed towards this?

No, not if we focus on what we have the power to change. And that is just ourselves - our body, our routine, our habits, our food choices, our life.

Up to forty or fifty years ago, medical students studied fatty liver disease, caused by alcohol abuse. In recent decades, a new kind of fatty liver disease has come up - non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. This is just one example. There are many other new illnesses coming up. Allergies hardly known in non-medical circles are also now known widely. This has been happening to us as a generation, as human beings living through current times.

Modern medicine is not able to solve any of these issues. It is just crazily running after the solutions.

Read that again. Modern medicine is not able to solve any of our chronic health issues.

We need to solve them ourselves. Each of us is responsible for our health. The only thing that will make a difference to our health are the actions we take.
