What is your excuse for not cooking?

Convenience is being equated with affluence and quality of life.

This is not a criticism. This is just an observation.

The way most of us in the western world and the educated upper classes in India are living, we are on the highway to metabolic mess, painful end-of-life years and death in hospitals.

It is scary.

Yes, I do mean to scare you, because in my experience, most people hardly take notice unless told something in strong words. You will continue to read strong words on my website.

When we were growing up, we would take food along from home whenever we went out. Eating food from outside was a strict no-no. Now, the same families are eating food from outside even at home. How ridiculous. You can see the effect on the body shapes, even in young children. It is such a pity.

It is our prime responsibility to look after our bodies. Health challenges will still come, but if we have done our job, we will sail through them without much suffering.

Most of us have become very insensitive towards our own needs in every sense of the word. We eat what comes by easily and that food makes us more insensitive. And when we become insensitive towards our needs, we become insensitive towards the needs of others as well.

The food we eat is also the foundation for the world of the future. What you eat determines how energetic or lethargic you will feel, how you will think and what you will feel like doing. Yes, it can even mean whether you would want to launch a missile that would kill many, or not want to hurt even a cockroach.

I know it’s a dog-eats-dog world. Most of us are doing haphazard things to become able to live with dignity one day. Don’t wait for that one day. Live with as much dignity as possible today. Start with eating home-made food.
