  1. Make notes: writing down on paper or on the computer gives your brain another input to remember information. Plus you have a source to access the information in your own words.
  2. Write down your goals, ambitions and dreams with timelines.
  3. Write down the obstacles towards reaching them: for example, being in a job that takes most of your time and energy, family responsibilities, negative relationships, financial commitments and constraints.
  4. Write down the skills needed to overcome each of these goals, ambitions and dreams. For example, learning better communication skills to be able to navigate smoothly through family and work situations. Learning how to present your skills to the world and position yourself so that you can become self-employed. Understanding personal finance.
  5. Make a rough timeline for how long it will take you to acquire the skills necessary for these goals, ambitions and dreams to come to fruition.
  6. Start working on these skills. Learn personal finance, entrepreneurship skills, presentation skills, communication skills, discipline, learning to cook, learning to create time, learning to create positive energies…
  7. Use the table below as a template. Revisit it every month. Review, rewrite, adjust timelines, update skills as necessary. For the first column, write ‘by … month of … year, I will be….’ With every review cycle (every new moon), try to extend your timeline. How far ahead can you think? If you would have established your business three years from now, what would you be doing after that? If you have paid your home loan 5 years from now, how could your life change? If you have become financially free 6 years from now, what would you like to do with your life after that? And how will you prepare yourself for it starting today? Write in as much detail as possible. Every time, the details will become finer and you will become more and more clear of the actions you need to take every day to achieve your goals. For example, if one of your dreams is to buy pristine land 5 years from now, what will you start doing today to enable it?
  8. Keep a diary. Record what you did each day. How much you could keep up with the suggestions you chose to put into practice. At the end of each month (new moon to new moon), reflect whether you have noticed any changes in your life: your behaviour, your choices, the way people respond to you.
  9. Reach out to me for feedback and if you need any help. I can help you with your health and life goals. I can help you to some extent with goals about bringing up and educating your children as well. I can guide you to resources (free and paid) where you could get guidance for overcoming your obstacles.
Goal with timeline What will I learn? What know-how do I need? What will I do towards achieving the goal? What actions will I take? How will I feel when I achieve the goal?
