Quick and easy healthy snacks that you must have at home
- A mix of roasted chana (bengal gram), peanuts, jaggery and desiccated coconut. This will give you energy and also fill your tummy. It’s a great snack for children. It has protein, fat and some mineral-rich sugar.
- Lightly salted fox nuts (makhana) roasted in ghee. These will give you salty-snack satisfaction, along with a good amount of calcium.
- Peanut jaggery chikki and sesame jaggery laddus are good for winter time. (Make sure you buy organic peanuts; they are very difficult to find these days.)
Even the chikki and the laddus are very easy to make. It’s just a matter of making the effort.
